I was recently trying to determine which one is the best mobile phone out of bunch of stylish new phones released in 2008 and 2009 - the phone was to be a gift to my wife. It all came down to a stand-off between two great phones: Samsung Soul and LG Secret. I finally bought Samsung's Soul after considering the following:

Soul beats Secret in:
1. super cool, good looking and functional haptic feedback control screen
2. basically double the battery life
3. better signal reception
4. Slide-in protected camera lense

Secret beats Soul in:
1. Touch screen that is however only usable in a few of the phone's functions
2. accelerometer that can auto-rotate pics depending on how you hold the phone
3. slow-motion video capture
