Aberfoyle

These walls enclose infectious inertia
I had sunlight banished years ago
All sirens efficiently beheaded mute

I drag a heavy tail of failures
I hear it behind me as I roam the rooms
My toes discovering cold carpet debris
My breathing mouth catching flying dust

A long worn color striped shirt I wear
This kingdom's only inhabitant a fool
Predictably getting tricked by the same tricks
For I am an old liar, seasoned by self-mockery

Some years back, I try to forget
My food a bitter taste acquired,
A metastasis of a state of mind
An exuberant somatoform incident

And now...
Dream swarms this space cross
Work sweat humidity replenishes
My pending hope's delays
Guide my ten-strong troop
Yet, aberrant stays all
